As for the Main Square, I recommend visiting the underground! there is a huge museum done there - a few years ago, very valuable objects from a few hundred years ago were discovered at the excavations! In addition, in the church of St. Wojciech is a collection of human bones.

Thank you for the suggestion, Wendy. I didn't know there was an underground museum! Definitely, have to check it out when I'm there again!

Awesome post. I am thinking of planning a trip there. Hows the quality of the food and prices there?

Hey Chuen,

Prices are on the cheap side of Europe, and the food is excellent in Krakow, both the local one and the wide varieties of foreign food restaurant available in Kazimierz. You can spend days at the Jewish Quarter exploring all the delicious food they have there :)

Hey Damian! Thank you for the comments! :) Glad you found my site through Awwwards. :) They are a great source of inspiration for sure. I use them myself regularly haha.

Thank you for suggesting Wroclaw! I did visit the city when I was backpacking through Poland last year but haven't had time to write a guide yet! :) It's a nice city with a perfect blend between old and new. The old town area is by far my favorite. Much quieter than the city center imo :)

It's not the Polish anthem that is being played from the Wieża Mariacka. It's a homage to medieval signal to warn of incoming Mongols and Tatars.

Hey Miki,

That's good to know! Thanks for the extra information!
